The final portion of footage of the toads from our peer review video, this time shots of individuals. All of the shots we've shared were used in some part of the video, except for one, which didn't fit the earthy aesthetic we desired. It is, incidentally, also the prettiest toad, go figure!

About this toad species: the Asian common toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus) is a species of true toad widely found throughout South and Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, it was originally only found in its western islands, before being introduced to Bali and then eastward of the Wallace Line (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Line), where it now poses a threat to native species, in part due to their lack of familiarity with its toxins. The same is true of Australia, where it has already been detected a few times and where, much like the cane toad, its proliferation would have a deleterious effect on local species.
